In honor of the International Purple Ribbon Project, show us something purple.
It was just too hard to resist, although I've posted some of these photos before:
My sweetie just LOVES his purple!
Show us a sign.
Right across the street (and in panorama view from the window of our room) in Vegas. We found it kinda funny to be staying in our swanky room in Vegas, where the bathroom was as big as my living room and room service coffee was $14 a pop, and have good old Hooters across the street.
We never went there ... not even for the wings. Hey, we could do that in Baltimore if we wanted, ya know?
Show us the weirdest thing about the place where you work.
Not gonna go there, but damn, could I have fun with this one!
Show us a photograph that makes you remember.
Unfortunately, I don't have a scanner so I can't dig way back.
But this picture always makes me smile. It's me and Weaz, one of my first two ferrets. Weaz actually belonged to my sister's then-boyfriend at first. But when I got my first ferret and the two of them became close, Weaz started having sleepovers at my place and eventually never went home.
This little guy was amazing. He was something of a shithead at first. One of the first times I picked him up and held him, he almost pierced my nose for me. But over the years, I formed such a bond with this dude. There's something special about every ferret, and the Weazter was no exception. He could drag a slice of pizza bigger than himself off to a hiding place to eat it. He was the self-proclaimed Boss of my Ferret Gang. He crawled up my grandfather's pants leg. The older and lazier he got, the cuddlier he got. He was the only ferret who would ever actually sleep in my lap.
Weaz died the day before 2004 ended. I don't think I've ever cried so hard over anything.
Show us how you keep yourself entertained.
The list could go on forever. I'm very good at entertaining myself and if I wasn't forced to work in order to have a house to entertain myself in, or didn't enjoy the family pub so much, I would be in danger of becoming a hermit who never saw anyone but Lee.
My diversions:
1. Web Crosswords (they post a new one every day)
2. Writing and reading blog posts
3. Watching weasels do weasely things and subjecting them to being my prime photography subjects
4. Books, books and more books
5. This (just pretend that's me instead of Lee and Sims Castaway instead of Ghost Recon):
Show us your holiday decorations.
Since we didn't get around to a tree this year, this little guy is coming with me to my office tomorrow to brighten things up there a bit:
I've already posted quite a few of my holiday pics. But since Gin was napping when I took the pictures of Vin with the purple ball wreath, I figured I'd give her the spotlight too:
And just for good measure, here are a few others:
Show us a winter photograph.
My little house in the first snowfall of the year.
A snow-covered tree in the neighbor's yard.
The backyard in the snow. Yeah, I know, it said "a photograph." What can I say, the first snow of the year makes me camera-psycho. Our weather is so unpredictable around here that I never know if I'll see more white stuff this year or not.
