Things on Tuesday ...

Okay, so I know its actually Wednesday now. But I missed last week's "Things" altogether, and yesterday was an insane wake-up, rush-out-the-door, work-till-you're-whimpering and crawl home kind of day. So I figure better late than never.

Things I'm loving:

- Having slightly fewer meetings at work (every little bit helps)

- The way the yard looks right now. Everything is growing so beautifully!

- Monday night horseshoes at the pub. I don't play, but Lee does. I kick back and hang out with my mom, and this week a co-worker of mine came along too and really enjoyed it. Doing something like that after work makes Monday seem less Mondayish.

- New clothes (ever notice how going to work in something new can totally change your attitude about a day sometimes? Like, maybe, since you're not wearing the same thing you've worn a hundred times before, the whole experience will be new too?)

- Snuggling with Lee.

- That I have fun co-workers.

- That Lee realizes that I'm working insane hours and tries to do things to make sure I don't have too much to do when I get home from a long day, even though he's tired from work himself. 

Things I'm loathing:

- That I spent a good chunk of Saturday cleaning and the house already looks like a cyclone hit it.

- Not having enough money to take care of some of the things we want to do around here.

- Having an 8:15 a.m. meeting this morning. That's just wrong.

- Working long hours and STILL not getting caught up, because something new always crawls out of the woodwork.

- Way too many dreary, rainy days that make it even harder for me to get motivated

- Dragging my butt out of bed way too early on a Tuesday after trying to make a Monday night less Mondayish.

Things I'm Looking Forward To:  

- Three day weekend!!!

- Spending that 3-day weekend at the cabin with Lee, my family and a really good friend.
