I'm Not Alone ...
So, I've been playing on Facebook most of the night. Scrabbling, Pirating, Pathwording, and carrying on various comment conversations. Lee's still feeling really bad and took some Nyquil and went to bed shortly after the game ended, so I was left to my own devices. And my brain is far to preoccupied with having to go back to my job tomorrow to do anything productive with my time. I'm starting to feel a bit getting-a-cold-ish myself, but the brain is too much in overdrive to snooze just yet.
Anyway, earlier tonight a good friend of mine who works in the same place as me called just to commiserate about having to go back.
"You know, it might snow on Tuesday ..." she said, a faint hopefulness in her voice. When it snows, there's always a chance the uni will shut down for the day. I perked up instantly, and actually felt like a kid who might get out of school. I may even wear my pajamas inside out tomorrow night!
And later, while Facebooking, I was reading the the status updates of my friends. My Facebook buddies almost all fall into one of 4 categories: college friends, high school friends, Vox/blog buddies, and work buddies. Those who fall into the first 3 groups who had made recent status updates all seemed to be talking about football, dinner, being sick, or kids. Those in the last group had mostly written status updates about how they dread going back tomorrow.
Sigh. I guess at least I'm not alone in that feeling!
Maybe if we ALL wear our jammies inside out tomorrow night, we'll get that snow day!
